Words from Our Students
I joined the nursing course because I have interest in healthcare and it allowed me to meet and work with different people. Although there are challenges and obstacles, but still I love to become a nurse. All these challenges allow me to grow up and build up my character to become a better future nurse. I am touched by the lives of people with the experience and numerous cases at the wards. This has changed my outlook on people especially the sick when I imagine myself as a patient. I am proud to be a student nurse as this really polished my practical skill and I gained more knowledge to care for people around me. I am proud being a student nurse.

It is a very good experience to be a student nurse because we can learn a lot of things. I hope all of IMC students will graduate to become good nurses. As a student leader, I had learned teamwork and work hard with this team for our programmes. I hope the future groups there will be a good team and focus more on communication skills to improve on the programmes organised.

To be honest, this tittle is something which cannot be explained or described. Being a student nurse is very tough, but as time goes on it seems to be easy, but not to say easy but we get used to it. A nurse should be always ready to face challenges. Life as a nurse is tough, more so a student nurse without much experience, skills and knowledge. Involving in student leader is a good choice as it will help strengthen my communication skills and boost my confidence, which I can apply during my work at future staff nurse. Thank you!!

Being a student nurse can be easy and tough. There are times where as student nurses, we face hard walls to overcome death of patients and stressful lifestyles. But there are also times that we feel lots of joy, especially when we send off the patient that we have been caring for home. There are no words to describe the feelings we get when patients remember us and thank us for taking care of them during their sickness. As a student leader, I faced many challenges during the planning of a musical drama performance for nurses’ day and midwifery conference. I am grateful I had other team members who offered their help and will forever cherish this as a memory and experience for my future.

As an intern (student nurse) we all will have our moments where we question the reason for choosing nursing but at the same time we also feel very grateful for choosing nursing as our career. I have learned life experience, death, importance of family and many other things. Student nurses are able to learn a lot more than procedures, terminologies, medications, and most important of all, love. In college, I decided to become a student leader to learn from my friends. I thought the extra activities would be a heavy load for me, but after I entered the programme I realised regardless of our busy schedules, student nurses are still able to fulfill it. Overall, this programme helped me enjoy my student nurse life here. Thank you for the programme that has allowed me to experience the leadership role and teamwork.
